The Circus Dog

Sweet Girl

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We adopted her back in the beginning of October. She has fit in well with our family and it the perfect size for the girls to walk, which they throughly enjoy! She is one lazy pup though...if someone is on the couch so is she, like this....
FAMILY NIGHT #2
This family night had quite a few snags in it...and totally did not go as planned. BUT we still did it.
CRAYON NIGHT!!!
We took perfectly new crayons, peeled the paper off and broke them into tiny pieces, put them in muffin pans and melted them at 200 degrees in the oven for 6 minutes...This is what they turned out to look like...
I got the idea from this website
The Girls had a blast doing it!!
We had a lot more things planned...."rainbow\crayon" toast with spaghetti, and we were going to melt crayons in wax paper and make some sun catchers to hand in the windows...It just didn't happen with all the "hospital events" with Josh that weekend. We made the best of it and the girls STILL loved it!!
Who wants it??
The Spotlight that is...Madelyn or Lilly. Take a look!
Family Night #1
We as a family are starting a new tradition...Family Fun Night!! Granted, yes we do spend alot of time with each other but how much do we really spend with each other doing FUN things, out of the ordinary things, as a WHOLE family?? Not very often. We stay at home on these night, we get creative, have a theme and run with it.
For Family Fun Night #1....CHEF\BAKER NIGHT
(not real ingenious...but for the kids to do this during the week--it was a blast!)
We Made "Chef Hats"
They made their cakes from start to finish!! Pouring, cracking eggs, measuring, mixing (they really enjoyed watching the flour fly!) greasing the pan, pouring into the pan....even placing the pan into the oven...with oven mits on of course!
Lilly didn't so much like the Angel Food Cake Batter...Can you tell??
While the cakes were baking the chefs needed some entertainment...we pulled out Monopoly...why? Ask Josh.
Josh and I continued to play monopoly after the kids went to bed. We had a "merger" @ 9:00. Josh got Madelyn's stash of cash and property....I got Lilly's cash and property.... basically 2 properties and $50--Nice! Josh kicked my tail in the game
Cakes are done--decorate them. The chefs with their finished products
Back to School
I am late--I know!! Here are a few pictures of the girls starting back to school.
Madelyn-THIRD GRADE!!! Lilly-PreK!!!!
Madelyn had a slumber party for her 8th birthday. Here are few interesting statistics from the night
# of girls RSVP: 8 with 7 attending
My Madelyn who invited 3 extra friends at the last minutes and forgot to tell mom: PRICELESS!!
